2 Days 1 Night Safari To Mikumi National Park.

Mikumi National Park Road Safari is a short tour from Dar Es Salaam Tanzania, which takes you to visit one of the spectacular southern circuit National parks of Tanzania. A well-surfaced road connects Mikumi to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro, it takes around a 6-hour drive.) The park is well-known for its population of elephants, giraffes buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater Kudu, wildebeest.


Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Dar-es-Salaam /Mikumi National Park.
Our driver-guide will pick you up from Dar-es-salaam early in the morning around 0500am, then drive to Mikumi National Park with a short stop for a cup of coffee on the way. Arrival in Mikumi, mid-morning, then departs for a game drive to explore Mikumi National Park. The park is one of Tanzania's larger parks and has excellent birdlife as well, as being good for viewing predators. Leave the park in the time for sunset then transfer to, Vuma hill tented camp. www.vumahills.com For overnight, on full board.
Day 2: Mikumi National Park to Dar es salaam.
Depart at 0630am for an early game drive after breakfast, the game drive will take 6 hours and later depart the park and start driving back to Dar es salaam, try to arrive before Dark.
The fauna includes many species characteristic of the African Savannah. According to local guides at Mikumi, chances of seeing a lion that climbs a tree trunk is larger than in Manyara (famous for being one of the few places where the lions exhibit this behavior). The park contains a subspecies of giraffe, that biologists consider the link between the Masai giraffe and the reticulated or Somali giraffe. Other animals in the park are elephants, zebras, impala, eland, kudu, black antelope, baboons, wildebeests, and buffaloes. At about 5 km from the north of the park, there are two artificial pools inhabited by hippos. More than 400 different species of birds also inhabit the park.
