Where to get Covid-18 PCR test molecular swab in Zanzibar?
There are several travelers in Zanzibar right now than to board the return plane (some lines: e.g. KLM, Turkish) need to file a negative Covid-19 certificate.

There are currently 4 approved points, where you can take the test; one public and 3 private:
1. ZPHEOC Center - Migombani (public, airport road) City of Zanzibar *
2. Global Hospital, Vuga Rd, Stone Town **
3. North Valley Hospital - Nungwi / Kendwa \ n
4. Green Valley Medical Clinic - Coast Michangani \ n
1. The center of ZPHEOC - currently being moved from Lumumba to Migombani and is located in the ex-CPS building in front of military camp and NMB Atm (ATM):
It's open from 7.30 am to 17.30. pm. No booking needed.
Samples will be taken using nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs in accordance with international regulations.
Test results will be released within 72 hours, for the return flight you need to get tested 3 days before.
* Cost of test (PCR, molecular):
- $ 80 for foreigners and tourists
- 45,000 Tzs for expatriate residents or EAC citizens,
- 30,000 Tzs for citizens Tz.
You can pay on the spot with a credit card.
For those who don't have a credit card, you need to make a deposit in the bank and bring a receipt.
