Jozani Forest Tour

Visit Jozani forest, home to the rare Red Colobus Monkey, which is endemic to the Island. We will take you on a 3-hour tour of Jozani Forest in Zanzibar. Jozani forest is approximately 20 min drive from Stone Town.

The forest is over 2,500 Hectares and is made up of whole groundwater forest, coral rag forest, and a saltmarsh area where you will see the Mangrove swamp.

Jozani forest is home not only to the Red Colobus monkey but also to other unique species including the Sykes Monkey, Bush Babies, Ader's Duiker. It is also home to more than 50 species of butterfly and 40 species of birds.

The forest itself consists of over 100 tree species from 43 families of tree. This is an exciting adventure into the wild on Zanzibar's only natural forest with an abundance of wildlife to see, much of it endemic to Zanzibar.
