My visit to Mafia on the 31 March 2014

Me and my friend Sylwia we had a plan to vist some where for few days.Then we thougt of going to Mafia cos everyone is going to zanzibar ,Pemba and to the NP and game reserves..

Here we start our safari :
Depart by coastal air only 30 minutes from Dar es salaam to Mafia.
departure time was 1500 and arrive 1530.... our friend Mr Meremeta was there to meet us and do the transfer to his lodge --- MEREMETA LODGE ABOVE IS THE ENTRANCE....

Before we went to his lodge, we requested him to show us a little around mafia,

The first attempt i catch in mafia is the quetness of this area... its a place where you relax and enjoy the enviroment, The people from here are mixire of tribes ... i asked a mafia resident which language do most people talk ... he laughed and and say oh we dont have one major trip ... so we speak swahili 98%.

we continued... we visited Butiama lodge.. to meet our long time friend Mr & Mrs  Moise( Mr Moise & Maura ) they runn this lodge .. it was a bad time to vist cos they were closing down for rainy season... but we managed to see the palace,we then visited mafia lodge a nice lodge as well ( pic later ) we also visited Big Blue and from big blue we could see the chole mjini lodge...
chole mjini is located inside the marine park ... area called Utende... nice beach in this area ... meremeta also located one kilomita from the lodge to Utende ...

after all the tour we went to check in to meremeta lodge... for dinner and o/night.
