Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

In the morning, the team will pick you up from your hotel and depart to Nyerere National Park with a stop for a picnic lunch on the way. The journey will take five hours. There will be a late afternoon boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. It will bring you into close contact with hippos, crocodiles, and fantastic birdlife.

Animals make their way to the river to drink. Boats may approach elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, and other game on the river banks within a few meters. Crocodiles glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippos appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Mloka Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park

You will spend a full day in the Selous Game Reserve exploring the reserve by a four-wheel drive vehicle. The permit will allow you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of the vast park. Dinner will be served and you may have some well-earned rest at Mloka Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Walking safari in Nyerere National Park then drive to Dar es Salaam

In the early morning before breakfast, you will have a wilderness walking safari that will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wild. Walking safaris offer a good chance of seeing the giraffe, zebra, elephant, and good birds. It starts in the morning, with the guidance of an local experienced guide.

It will take two hours before you come back to the campsite for breakfast. Later drive back to Dar es Salaam. You will arrive there at around four or five p.m. and be dropped off at the hotel or airport. *Breakfast
