Explore the Southern Circuit of Tanzania to Mikumi National Park (2 Days / 1 Nights Safari With 4x 4 Land Cruiser Pop-up Roof)

 

 Day 1: Dar-es-Salaam /Mikumi National Park

Our driver guide will pick you up from Dar-es-salaam early in the morning around 0500Am, then drive to Mikumi National Park. Arrive in Mikumi then departs for a game drive to explore Mikumi National Park. The park is one of Tanzania's larger parks and has excellent bird life as well, as being good for viewing predators. Leave the park late around 1900pm then accommodation at Tanapa cottages on full board.


 Day 2 Mikumi National Park – Dar es salaam: what to expect on this day:

Early morning before breakfast go for a game drive at 0630am –back for breakfast and drive

Again for game drive till mid-day. Then start driving back to Dar es Salaam.

After breakfast check out from the cottage you will have a half-day game drive, in case the first day you missed up something you could finally see in this date, the landscape of Mikumi is often compared to that of the Serengeti. The road that crosses the park divides it into two areas with partially distinct environments. The area northwest is characterized by the alluvial plain of the river basin Mkata. The vegetation of this area consists of a savannah dotted with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palm. In this area, at the furthest from the road, there are spectacular rock formations of the mountains Rubeho and Uluguru. The southeast part of the park is less rich in wildlife, and not very accessible.
