ITINERARY.

Day 1 - Dar es salaam - Mikumi National Park:

You will be picked-up from the airport or hotel and depart Dar Es Salaam heading to Mikumi National Park. This journey will take about 5 hours. Upon arrival, in the afternoon, you will take off on your first game drive. Mikumi National Park is one of the Tanzania's larger parks with excellent bird watching as well as good viewing of predators. After your afternoon game drive you will head to Tanapa cottages inside the Park  for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2 - Departure From Mikumi - Dar es salaam:

After breakfast check out from the cottage, you will depart for another half day game drive later you will start to drive back to Dar es salaam, the landscape of Mikumi is often compared to that of the Serengeti. The road that crosses the park divides it into two areas with partially distinct environments. The area north-west is characterized by the alluvial plain of the river basin Mkata. The vegetation of this area consists of savannah dotted with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palm. In this area, at the furthest from the road, there are spectacular rock formations of the mountains Rubeho and Uluguru. The southeast part of the park is less rich in wildlife, and not very accessible. After the game drive you will depart the park to mark the end of this tour.
